Anklet Coronets e-Pattern

Description

Knit your own Anklet Coronets using these clearly-written instructions by knitwear designer Jackie E-S of HeartStrings FiberArts. This is a digital edition of the original in-print pattern instructions, now available in downloadable pdf format.

Beads enhance the lacy scallops of these dressy socks in a low-cuffed anklet style. I modified a basic feather-and-fan lace structure for ribbed elasticity to hug the ankle and firmness to carry the weight of the beads.

For the model shown in the additional images, I chose a regal looking purple variegated yarn and contrast beads. The anklets look equally elegant in a tone-on-tone combination such as in the pink version pictured above.

Adult medium. 300 yards fingering weight yarn, 8 stitches/inch, size US 1 / 2.5 mm needles suggested. Size 8/0 glass seed beads - 480 (approximately 20g). Charted instructions.

Shown in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock yarn and Miyuki beads. For the purple model, the yarn color is #701 Purple Club; bead color is Pearl Ceylon. For the pink model, yarn is #44 Gray's Corner and beads are Purple-lined Blue Crystal.
