Description

Knit your own Scrunch-Turtleneck Dickey using these clearly-written instructions by knitwear designer Jackie E-S of HeartStrings FiberArts.

Scrunch-Turtleneck Dickey is a quick and easy-to-knit woman's dickey. Use it for a casual dress-up under a crew neck sweater or sweatshirt. I call this a scrunch-turtleneck because it is a loose-fitting cross between a turtleneck and a cowl, resulting in a comfortable accessory that will fit most anyone.

The short front yoke makes knitting extra quick and is suitable under crew-necked tops.

Adult medium to large. 200 yards sportweight yarn, 5½ stitches/inch, size US 6 US / 4.0 needles suggested. Shown in Egyptian cotton. Written stitch instructions.

Feel free to jazz things up using more than one yarn color such as the Scrunch-Turtleneck shown in the Additional Images that was knitted in purple cotton/linen and gold cotton/viscose.
