Knit your own Lacy Riverine ensemble using these clearly-written instructions by knitwear designer Jackie E-S of HeartStrings FiberArts.
Lacy Riverine is an elegant coordinating set of reversible lace scarf, headband, and mitts or muffatees to keep neck, head, hands and arms warm on cool days. The undulating lacy design is reminiscent of a softly flowing river on quiet afternoons. With just two simple lace pattern rows that repeat, any of these items would be suitable for even a beginning lace knitter to make. Written stitch instructions; no charts.
The scarf is reversible, and a bonus is that the items in the set can be worn with either side facing out to give equally pleasing yet different looks.
Fingering or laceweight yarn, 6 stitches/inch, size US 4 - 5 / 3.5 - 3.75 mm needles suggested. Live model photo shows Lacy Riverine knitted in elann.com's Collection Super Kydd.
