Knit your own Smoke Ring with Lace Edging using these clearly-written instructions by knitwear designer Jackie E-S of HeartStrings FiberArts.
Smoke Ring with Lace Edging is a versatile accessory that can be worn pulled down around the neck to lay on the shoulders as a dressy cowl neckline, or pulled up over the head as an elegant head covering.
The knitting is begun with a strip of lace edging, then stitches are picked up and knit in the round in another lace stitch pattern. A decorative bind off completes the knitted tube.
