Part # BBS-02-1 - Bead Knitted Handbags 2 is back in print by popular demand. Bead Knitted Handbags 2 is the third pattern booklet in the "Beaded Bag Series". It provides the crafter with clear and concise instructions (with color photographs and b&w illustrations) to make three distinctly different bead knitted handbags (see photos above). Basic knitting and sewing skills are all that are required to make these bags (casting on, basic knit stitch, binding off). The knowledge to do an increasing stitch is required for "Sandra's Bag". Instructions and diagrams are also included to embellish the bags with ribbon work and silk ribbon embroidery in addition to suggestions on how to embellish the bags with charms, buttons and other mementos. All stitches are very easy and can be learned by any crafter. (56 pages)

Supplies needed to make the bags shown above:

• Classic Grace & Elegance: 6 hanks of size Czech glass seed beads, 2 balls of #8 perle cotton thread, ML54, ML55, or BL954 purse frame, one pair of size 0000 (1.25mm) knitting needles. Approximate finished size 4.5" across the top, 7.5" wide across the bottom, and 7" long.
• Sandra's Bag: 4 hanks of Czech glass seed beads, 2 balls of #8 perle cotton thread, 8, (1/2") or smaller metal or plastic rings, drawstring, one pair of size 0000 (1.25mm) knitting needles. Approximate finished size 4.75" wide by 6.5" long
• Out on a Whim: 6 hanks of Czech glass seed beads, 4 balls of #8 perle cotton thread, 1/3 yard of fleece, 1/3 yard of fusible interfacing, 1 1/2 yds. of trim, 3/4 yd. of trim for upper edge of bag, 1/3 yd. fabric for lining, 5" square of Ultrasuede® or other fabric for bottom of bag, drawstring, one pair of size 0000 (1.25mm) knitting needles. Approximate finished size 6.5" high by 21" in circumference.
