These hedders are designed for both maximum performance from a set of shorty hedders, as well as, easier installation. They are manufactured using 100% 304 stainless steel construction.
Hedman Hedders is proud to release these power producing Hedders for the 3rd generation Dodge Challenger R/T. Hedman’s short tube hedders, which are considered factory replacements, do a great job of freeing up additional horsepower. They come from the Hedman factory fitted with an exhaust flange that bolts directly to the factory exhaust. Since the catalytic converters are retained, these hedders will pass emissions in all 50 states (once EO process is complete). As far as the installation goes, they are no “challenge” for the average do-it-yourselfer. In fact, by current new car standards, both the long tube and short tube hedders are extremely easy to install. Installation is done from under the car, and does not require a lot of component removal to perform. The notch style head flanges make bolting the tubes on to the head easier.
Hedman’s long tube hedders set a new standard in hedders for the 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger R/T. They are the smoothest flowing hedders on the market, and no effort is wasted evacuating the 5.7L HEMIs combustion chambers to produce “butt-grabbing” torque. The sound these hedders produce is pure muscle car. They bolt directly to the factory cat-back system, but since they do not have catalytic converters, they are legal for off-road use only.
These new Challenger hedders are manufactured in Hedman’s Whittier, CA plant using all 304 stainless steel materials. Both the long and short tube models come set up with 1-3/4” diameter, 16 gauge, 304 stainless primary tubes, and get bolted-on using thick 3/8” flanges. Unlike the competition, Hedman prefers to use 304 stainless, rather than lower priced 409 stainless, because 304 provides the best durability, heat and corrosion resistance...without getting too expensive. In fact, uncoated 304 stainless hedders will keep their original appearance longer than 409 series stainless hedders.
