Educational Information
What does a sawfish saw?The sawfish uses its long snout, armed with sharp points, as a hunting tool. Swimming among schools of smaller fish, a sawfish slashes its blade through the water, then doubles back to feast on its wounded prey. The saw also comes in handy for digging up crabs and other animals from the seafloor.
