The comfort of a modern Regional Express in a scale of 1:87: The new models of the bi-level commuter cars from Trix will impress you with elegance and prototypically dark tinted windows. The locomotive is also modern in the prototype and in the model: The class 146.1 has a durable die-cast metal frame and body. A centrally mounted can motor with a flywheel powers all four axles through cardan shafts, and two traction tires increase the pulling power. The LED headlights change over with the direction of travel. The locomotive’s motor and headlights are digitally controlled from a DCC/Selectrix digital decoder with a load compensation feature. The locomotive and the cars run like the prototype almost buffer-to-buffer thanks to the close couplers. The large oval made up with the new Trix C Track offers a long run for the train: Two elegant curved turnouts form a station area with a long passing siding. Controlling the layout is done with the new Trix Mobile Station. The length of the train is 29-3/4". The oval of track measures 73" x 34" when completely set up.
