Description
Entomology pins are specifically designed to be longer and sharper than an ordinary pin and come in a variety of thicknesses/sizes.
We offer them in the 2 most popular sizes, #1 and #3.
The #1 pins are thinner than the # 3s and are therefore better suited for your smaller insect specimens. The #3s are a bit stiffer and are ideal for medium to larger insects.
Stainless steel pins are chosen by professionals over the black enameled pins for their superior resistance to moisture and resulting rust. Even though insects are dried in the mounting process, their bodies remain moist which can cause painted pins to rust, making your collection unsightly and the pins non-reusable.
Our stainless steel pins eliminate that concern and are priced at enameled pin prices.
Each reusable plastic container has approx. 100 pins.
