Meade's top of the line black and white DSI imgager. The Deep Sky Pro Imager III (DSI III PRO) w/AutoStar Suite boasts a 1.4 Megapixel 1/2" High Sensitivity monochromatic Sony® CCD Sensor for fast, high resolution CCD imaging. Filter set as shown sold seperately.
Features USB 2.0 high speed interface, temperature sensor, low pixel noise for more data, drizzle software technology, and AutoStar Suite with ENVISAGE™ image processing software. Chip size is 1360 x 1024 pixels (1,392,640 pixels total) with chip dimensions of a large 10.2mm (W) x 8.3mm (H) for excellent resolution and a large imaging field size. Pixel size is square, resulting in better image processing results, measuring 6.45 microns wide by 6.45 microns high. Full 16-bit A/D conversion means signal integrity is maintained through capture and processing. A minimum exposure time of 1/10,000 of a second and maximum exposure time one hour means you can capture anything from a daylit scene to the dimmest of objects in the night sky.
Unit is conveniently powered via the USB 2.0 port, no additional power supply needed. The Meade DSI is easy to use, lightweight, powerful and versatile. Meade engineers have invented a remarkable new way to reduce noise without a cooler, greatly reducing the imagers power needs versus many models on the market. The incorporated thermal monitoring sensors automatically match your dark frames to ambient temperature so it is nearly impossible to take an uncalibrated picture.
Color filters not included, sold seperately. Recommended PC: P4/ 2.1GHz, 1G RAM, Win XP or 32-bit Vista operating systems. Not compatible with 64-bit Vista.
