The Expressionist® series of Cray-Pas® oil pastels is the benchmark for pigment quality and performance. Consisting of an extra-fine, quality pigment, wax and oil formulation, Expressionist oil pastels are capable of creating oil-paint effects, have an extremely smooth application, are individually performance rated for lightfastness, and are easily blendable. Expressionist pastels are easily adaptable for creating either portraits, landscapes, still-lifes, abstracts, scratch art and are readily used on paper, cardboard, canvas, and wood.
