Novak's additional four 5mm Mod 1 Steel Pinion Gears 17T-20T (#5111-#5114) are, overall, shorter in length to easily fit into all popular brushless 1/8-scale vehicles. These gears allow uses to take advantage of the lower Kv generated by the HV Sintered Tuning Rotor with 5mm Shaft – 14mm. Additionally, the vehicle’s gearing must be decreased for an overall lower gear ratio.
All of Novak’s Mod 1 gears include a set screw and have the gear size marked for easy identification.
