This is Novak's 5mm 32-Pitch Steel Pinion Gear 3-Pack (12T/13T/14T) (#5160). These nickel-plated gears are available in packs of three gears, allowing drivers to experiment with gear ratios. In addition to the added flexibility, the three-gear packs save money by giving drivers the ablility to purchase a pack of gears, instead of buying individually.
These precision-made gears mesh with HV-Series of Brushless Motors (#3524 - #3527) and other brushless motors with a 5mm output shaft. This durable motor and pinion gear combination can be used to power Monster trucks, including the Traxxas® E-Maxx™, HPI® E-Savage™ and Kyosho® Twin Force™. The 32-pitch gears are nickel plated to resist corrosion and are designed with ultra-precise concentricity to prevent wobbling. In addition, the gear size is stamped for easy identification and a 4mm x 4mm set screw is included with each gear.
There are exceptions when determining the best gearing for specific motors and track conditions, but these gear sets allow drivers to experiment with gear ratios in the search to find the optimal setup.
