The snare wire for a vintage 14" Tama Imperial Star snare drum has 19 strands, an overall length of 17 1/8", and a strand length of 15 1/4" (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end-plates have a unique end-plate with a large hole that simplifies their attachment to the strainer.
