The snare wire for a vintage 14" Sonor Signature snare drum with a parallel throw off has 22 strands, an overall length of 18 3/4", and a strand length of 16 1/8" (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end-plates have a unique notched clip that simplifies their attachment to the strainer.
