The snare wire for 14" snare drums utilizing the Slingerland Zoomatic strainer have 20 strands, an overall length of 14", and a strand length of 13" (including the soldered area on each end-plate). One end plate has a modern configuration for attachement (via string or strap), while the other end has a steel strap riveted to the center.
