The snare wire for 14" Radio King snare drums utilizing the Slingerland 3-point strainer (used from 1950s -70s) have 16 strands, an overall length of 15 7/8", and a strand length of 15" (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end plates have a steel strap riveted to the center...one with a length of 2 3/4" and the other with a length of 5".
