You may not know that in addition to handpainting yarn, we are very serious about making maple syrup the old fashioned way. Our Cherry Tree Hill sugar house sits below 83 acres of old growth sugar maples and we gather the sap with Belgian draft horses pulling a sleigh. Our sugar house was built in 1790 and the arch is wood fired. We do not run pipelines, use reverse osmosis or even electricity at our sugar woods. We use sap buckets just like they did 150 years ago.
