Renewable solar energy charges a powerful Headlamp but also can recharge your personal electronic devices like cell phones or iPods using our 12V or USB converters (sold separately).  The EL8 is a five-LED Headlamp that gets recharged from a 3-ounce solar panel that’s half the size of a CD case.  You can dispense with batteries altogether—throwaways and rechargeables—and go on extended treks or international trips without needing any replacment batteries.

The EL9 Solar Clip Light runs more than 12 hours from a full charge and provides good lighting to about 30 ft. distance. It clips to any baseball hat or visor and weighs only 1.8 ounces with built-in solar panel and lithium battery. It can also provide a cell phone or iPod charge for emergencies.
